Pejšův mlýn Sedlčany spol. s r.o.

Pejšův mlýn Sedlčany digitized milling production with records of batches, expiration dates, samples, and OCR capture of incoming emails.

About the client

Pejšův mlýn Sedlčany spol. s r.o. is a traditional Czech milling company operating multiple mills, processing grain into flour and milling products for both B2B and B2C buyers. Distribution runs via its own vehicles and drivers, with precise traceability of every delivery through batches and serial numbers — a key requirement of food-industry regulation is records of expiration dates and the ability to trace the origin of raw materials.

The challenge

Milling production with multiple mills and food-industry legislation brought typical problems:

  • Batches and expiration dates recorded in paper protocols — making rapid lookup during complaints impossible
  • Multiple mills (Naše Mlýny) with separate warehouses and bank accounts without central records
  • Buyer contracts, individual price lists, and offtake points in different tools
  • Incoming emails with attachments (orders, documents) were rekeyed manually into the system
  • Warehouse operations (goods receipts, goods issues, transfer notes), production, and dispatch without ties to invoicing
  • Quality-control samples kept in a separate notebook
  • Distribution via own vehicles and drivers without digital records

The solution

Modulario delivered a specialized ERP with interconnected data structures focused on the specifics of milling production:

Multi-site architecture and external integrations

The mills in the Pejšův mlýn group operate as separate entities within Modulario’s multi-site architecture — a user with the appropriate permissions sees a customer as one whole across all mills in the group, and reports allow aggregation across the group as well as for individual sites.

  • Bank integration with Komerční banka (KB) and ČSOB — automatic matching of invoice payments and recording of bank movements
  • ARES (Czech public register) — automatic validation and prefill of supplier and buyer data when entering a company ID
  • APROL — integration with production control and laboratory inspection (Položky na sklade APROL)
  • OCR module — automated capture of received invoices from emails
  • Granular roles and permissions with change history in key entities (price lists and others defined by the customer)
